-かつては帝国Bashaが高度な文明を築き上げていたが、Rootとの数千年に渡る戦いの末、勝利してRootたちを世界から追い出すことに成功するも地上はすでに焦土と化してしまった世界。
-Rootに対抗するため、精神的指導者であるNuiが惑星上で争いあっていた集団を1つにまとめ上げ、強力な武器などを使って一時的には勝利を収めた。
しかし、長く続く戦争の中でBashaは次第に疲弊していき、通常の武器ではRootを滅ぼせないと察したBashaのEzlanという名の謎に包まれたNuiは世界に終焉をもたらす装置の起動に踏み切り、勝利を得たが文明は失われた。
