Documents is an advanced document reader for your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Apart from displaying documents, it can store files copied via USB or using Wi-Fi, connect to various network services and save pages from the web.

PDF Viewer, Image Viewer and Web Viewer support standard iOS pinch gesture for zooming document.
All the viewers besides PDF Viewer store their bookmarks in Settings of the app on your iPhone.
Documents can connect to such cloud services as Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive etc. There is also a possibility to set up FTP/SFTP, SMB and WebDAV connection.
To configure access to network storage, select Services tab , tap Add Account and choose the storage you want to set up.
This feature provides the ability to sync the folder content and have all the recent changes made either on the app or from your computer in one cloud storage.
To create a Sync Folder:
1. Establish connection with the web storage you want to sync with
2. Go to the Services tab
3. Navigate to the folder you want to sync and open it
4. Tap Edit button at the top
5. Tap Sync button
6. Tap Sync This Folder button
7. After that, the synchronization will be automatically started, the folder will appear in Documents section Synced folders.
Use Documents built-in web browser or Safari browser to find and save documents from the Web.
Safari on iOS displays Open in... button for certain file types, like PDF or Pages.
To open a web page inside the app built-in browser, you should change the first part of URL in the address bar from http:// to rhttp:// (just add r at the beginning), and press Go.
You can bookmark or save a web page via built-in browser.
Documents uses WebDAV protocol to share its data with other computers via Wi-Fi Network. Many popular operating systems and programs have the ability to mount WebDAV resource as a network drive. You may also connect to Documents with any modern web browser.

Mac OS X
To gain access to Documents files on Mac OS X, please follow the steps below:
As a result you should get Shared Disk mounted on your Mac. You can enable Connected servers settings in Finder Preferences -> General to show it on the Desktop.
Please note, your device may change its IP address inside Wi-Fi network. In this case you need to reconnect to Wi-Fi Drive again using the new IP address.

After that you'll be able to download and upload any files from or to Documents app.
Working with files in Documents is a simple and smooth procedure. Tap on a file to open it or tap on a folder to view its contents. Tap Edit to enable the File Management mode.
To perform operations with multiple files at once, tap Edit, then select several files and choose operation at the bottom toolbar.
Tap More to mail, zip, upload, merge, send to another app or mark the file as favorite. To create a text file, tap More without selecting any file and then tap Create Text.
Similar file management operations are also applicable to iCloud tab.
To upload files from your computer to Documents, please do the following:
1. Connect your iOS device to your computer using USB cable
2. Launch iTunes on your computer and tap the iPhone icon
3. Switch to Apps tab and scroll down to the File Sharing section
4. Find Documents app
5. Drag and drop your files to add them to your iTunes File Sharing folder.
Every file in Documents may be transferred to other app that is able to process it. You can access this function tapping Edit and tap More afterwards:
Also Documents app may be used as Open in target from other apps. The most notable example is the ability to open attachments from the Mail application in Documents.
